Built by Hickman Brothers with bricks from McQuistion kiln in East Dandridge. Greek Revival structure replaced smaller brick courthouse on same grounds. Also, home to Jefferson County Historical Museum that proudly displays marriage bond of Davy Crockett and sweetheart Polly Finley and eclectic mix of small relics and artifacts of daily life in early East Tennessee. Records and documents from 1792 are in the Archives Office, staffed by volunteers from Jefferson County Genealogical Society.
